Is Golf Doing Enough for the Environment?

  1. There are a lot of forward thinking golf courses emerging since the turn of the millennium, but they're still a way behind other sports, IMO. There's less pressure on courses like Belmont Golf Course because they're not inherently destructive, compared to football stadiums and tennis courses which displace a large footprint. But it doesn't mean they shouldn't make an effort...

  2. Well the governing bodies of golf could introduce a rule where major golf championships can only be played on courses with a sustainable plan and implementation policy to reduce water, chemical based pesticide and fertiliser usage.
