Paraxlene is the main raw ingredient of modern synthetic (polyester) sportswear. So how come there's no mention of it on garment labels or brands web sites or apparel reviews in printed and digital media?
Paraxlene is an aromatic hydrocarbon based on benzene and produced by catalytic reforming of petroleum naphtha as part of the BTX aromatics (benzene, toluene and the xylene isomers). It is also highly flammable.
Is all of this just an inconvenient truth for the sportswear industry?
